Following a series of court battles with various stakeholders, including bondholders and employees, Straub obtained control over the property.
Restructuring and Rebranding Efforts (2018-2019)
After extensive renovations costing approximately $200 million, Ocean Resort was rebranded from Revel Casino Hotel in June 2018. The revamped resort introduced several new amenities, including a casino floor with live table games and electronic gaming stations, an upscale hotel lobby with renovated rooms, an expanded entertainment complex hosting live music events, and various dining options offering improved menu choices.
Reopening and Expansion
Following the rebranding effort, Ocean Resort welcomed visitors once more in June 2018.
